is an international Permaculture designer, teacher and low impact builder. Matt has actively pioneered and worked with communities and projects in Asia and Europe for the last ten years and is co-founder of holisticprogressiondesigns.
After experiencing nature's immense power first hand atthe 2004 earthquake and tsunami, he observed how systems that work with and mimic nature function with resilience and beauty.
Matt met Hajjar in 2012 and was blown away by Hajjar's simple, elegant, durable and low cost style of building. He learnt from him and went on to design and build domes in Turkey and Spain, refining his craft. Matt believes that in arches, domes and vaults lies the solution for beautiful and sustainable shelter for all.
Gabe De La Cruz
is a young man, who has been Hajjar's assistant in the experimentation and development of Aircrete building for a year. In learning from Hajjar, Gabe is constantly inspired to dream, to think, to create, and to work at things not for any reward, but because you believe in the cause. Gabe's dream is to soak up enough knowledge so that he can effectively bring the AirCrete method around the world and teach anyone interested how to build low cost, do it yourself, beautiful, housing.
