  • Upcoming WorkshopsLearn to build beautiful fiber reinforced AirCrete structures. AirCrete is a low cost ecological building material that is easy to make. It is water-proof, fire-proof, insect-proof and easy to work with.  When AC is reinforced with fiber it is strong enough to withstand an earthquake.
  • All over the world individuals, relief organizations, eco-villages, sustainable development sites and many other projects are asking to use our building methods. To answer the call we need to train people.
  • We are launching a series of workshops in Hawaii starting June 25th.

Watch this video about AirCrete dome building

This video explains how we built Steve Areen's famous dome at The Gibran Center in Thailand. It demonstrates the amazing qualities of AirCrete and how you can make AirCrete yourself.
We've made a lot of progress since publishing this video. And we'll be sharing more about that in future blog posts.  So stay tuned!

Just wondering if you have had experience with your aircrete being brittle and, if so, how do you deal with it?

We finish the outer surface with a thin layer of stucco and reinforcing fabric. This works very well to produce a crack proof surface and very strong structure. You can also reinforce AirCrete by adding fiber to the mixture. PVA fiber works especially well. Here's a link to one fabric we use, https://www.apoc.com/products/roof-reinforcements-firm-polyester-reinforcing-fabric-apoc-482f
Polyester weed control fabric works well too. Many other fabric bond well to AirCrete, you can use hemp but it is more expensive and probably won't last as long.

I live in Colorado Springs at 6500 ft elevation and the winter can get down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit-- will air crete shrink and crack?

My husband is a contractor and has also worked for many years in the commercial concrete business, he is about to go to one of his workshops in February. Hopefully my husband can incorporate this building material in his business. He will be building us a dome home on our land soon.

A wall crafted from such a cloth that, despite the fact that, in itself, has no intrinsic fee and may be swept aside with one finger, must be respected owning to its repute as art.
