We're thrilled to announce our first-ever workshop in Georgia!!
Join us for springtime in the southeast as we come together to build a unique Aircrete dome in the historic Appalachian Mountains.
Intro from our host, Rick Gattone:
"I moved to Wildwood from Atlanta in 1995 to be closer to the caving and hang gliding here- it's an outdoor sports Mecca. In 1996, I accidentally started Liquid Landscapes, which led to a 20+ year career building some of the areas coolest waterfalls, ponds and architectural water features. I became a student of concrete and began building carved concrete (faux stone), artificial cliffs, large boulders and waterfalls. I designed and built the cave cottages on my property using these skills- the dome we are constructing during this workshop will be attached to a faux stone bedroom and bathroom structure which is built into a faux stone cliff that we built. I'm also a musician, so instruments are always welcome. Here the night sky is dark and stars are abundant."
Location: Wildwood, Georgia
Rick's twelve-acre property is nestled at the foot of Lookout Mountain in the northwestern corner of Georgia in a town called Wildwood. An abundance of outdoor activities are available for nature lovers of all ages. The climate is temperate and our workshop will see April temperatures range from 60s to70s during the day to 40s to 50s at night with spring rain possible. A quick 15 minutes by car and you'll find yourself in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee along the Tennessee river, just north of the Georgia state line. Officially nicknamed "The Scenic City," Chattanooga is known for its vast array of outdoor activities in the beautiful surrounds while also featuring a plethora of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Trenton, Georgia, a small town with a few restaurants and shops, is a convenient 5 minutes away. For more info on our host and our workshop site, please contact Rick at rmgattone@yahoo.com

Learn how to build an AirCrete dome and more!
DOMIE BONUS! Each participant will receive Architectural Drawings of Steve's Dome Home
(a 16-page detailed digital download ) |
We've come a long way since our first domes which were made of clay bricks and cinder blocks. Now we'll teach you how to build your own dome home with AirCrete - an amazing material that you can make yourself almost as easily as making pancake batter. Learn to build a low-cost dome home that is fireproof, termite proof, rot proof, insulating, sustainable, strong and durable against the forces of earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
*Please Note: During the 10-day workshop, we build a basic dome structure as depicted in the picture above. This does not include plumbing, electrical or finished flooring. We do our best to complete the AirCrete dome during the workshop; however, there is no guarantee of completion. Unexpected obstacles like weather conditions, for example, may prevent the dome’s full completion. Student effort and efficiency largely dictate overrall progress.
