Aircrete dome building workshop

Bon secour, Alabama
February 3 - 12, 2022

Register Here

Join Domegaia again this February in Alabama, minutes from the beautiful Bon Secour Bay wildlife refuge.
Together we'll build additional Aircrete dome on this stunning property tucked within a gorgeous oak forest!

Our Hosts: Emma Gaskins and Jason Kolano
"When Covid hit we realized it was time to make a sustainable, artist sanctuary for ourselves and others to retreat to. We have a 2.3 acre property with 22 hundred-year-old live oaks and plenty of space to build our community. Tucked in the Bon Secour National wildlife refuge and just 20 minutes away from the beautiful white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, we knew we'd found our spot. We've spent the last year transforming our property into the inspiring artistic space we've been envisioning for so long.
In 2015 we started with a vision to make the world a more beautiful place by doing something we love and to give other creatives that opportunity as well. Our intention is to create an artist community where creatives can come live for free, work with us and be able to dedicate themselves to life as an artist.
Our area gets destroyed by hurricanes regularly and we hope to spark a revolution as to how homes are built in this region. We really believe in the power of aircrete as a much more sustainable, eco building material that could significantly change construction practices here."
Emma and Jason just hosted a workshop with us in November, and it was such a great success they wanted to host another set of students and continue on with their dome building journey
