Cedar Bloom is a blossoming community in the Illinois River Valley of Southern Oregon. Home to the Spirit Weavers Gathering and a handful of other events, Cedar Bloom is a place to renew, space to grow, and land to gather. With the intentions of sustainability and living in flow and reciprocity with the earth, Cedar Bloom is excited to be home to a Domegaia creation. Holding the vision that the structure can be a vessel for learning and growth, we hope the dome will be an example of the incredible ways we can build, while maintaining a relationship with the land and our surroundings, for all who visit Cedar Bloom.
Where: Cedar Bloom Farm | Cave Junction, Oregon
Cedar Bloom Farm is located off the 199 Redwood Highway right on the Illinois river.
GPS address - 1011 Ollis Road Cave Junction, OR 97523 Medford Airport (MFR) is the closest airport to fly into. The workshop will be held just an hour and fifteen minutes from the airport. Airlines that travel to and from this airport include Alaskan, United, Delta and Allegiant. Car rental companies located inside the airport include Alamo, Budget, Enterprise, National & Hertz. If you have a Costco card, you can book with them and get a great discount. Many people traveling from out of state fly into LAX and then get a separate flight into Medford with airlines listed above. |
What: Learn how to build an AirCrete dome
There's plenty of fun for everyone!
*Additional notes: During the 10-day workshop, we build a basic dome structure. This does not include plumbing, electrical, or flooring. We do our best to complete the AirCrete dome during the workshop. However there is no guarantee of completion. Unexpected obstacles like weather conditions, for example, may prevent the dome’s completion.

We've come a long ways since our first domes which were made of clay bricks and cinder blocks. Now we'll teach you how to build your own dome home with AirCrete - an amazing material that you can make yourself almost as easy as making pancake batter. Learn to build a low cost dome home that is waterproof, fireproof, termite proof, rot proof, insulated, eco friendly, non toxic, and durable against the forces of earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
As a bonus, each participant will receive Architectural Drawings of Steve's Dome Home
