Mix 2 cups of dish detergent or foaming agent into 5 gals of water, hook up an air-compressor and you are ready to make AirCrete.
Our Foam-Injection Mixer is a very efficient way to make AirCrete. Little Dragon injects foam directly into the mixing paddles for quick, easy and thorough mixing. One bag of cement makes 43 gallons of AirCrete in just a few minutes. It's easy to mix the precise amount of ingredients for consistent results every time. And you can add sand, fiber or other admix ingredients if desired.
AirCrete is inexpensive, easy to make and easy to work with. It requires only basic skills. A simple, very affective way to make blocks is to make square wooden frames. Join the corners with door hinges that have removable pins for easy assembly and disassembly.
Put a plastic sheet under the frames so the AirCrete won't leak out. Apply veggie oil or other release agent to the frames. Use Little Dragon and our Foam-Injection Mixer (sold separately) to mix one 94lb bag of cement with 6 gallons (US) water in a drum and enough foam (34 gallons) to make a total of 45 gallons of AirCrete.
Fill the frames with AirCrete. After the AirCrete has set over night you can slice it into blocks with a knife. Or simply step on a long blade made of 1/16” steel attached to a 2x4 board the full width of your slab.
Domes, arches, walls, window frames and doorways can all be made this way by mortaring the blocks together. We use AirMortar between the blocks.
We finish the outer surface with a thin layer of stucco and reinforcing fabric such as this APOC 483 (our current favorite). This works very well to produce a crack proof surface and very strong structure.
You can also use similar frames to pour flat wall sections and stand them up to make flat vertical walls. Lay the reinforcing fabric in your frames before pouring in the AirCrete. Wait at least 3 days before standing the wall section up.
Get your equipment and start playing with AirCrete. Find out for yourself how easy it is to work with.
